Or perhaps some people here are just being brought to replace those who were taken away previously.

Nevertheless, why are people here sad that those who are gone... are? What if they've been returned home? What then? A fish always dreams of returning to its waters. To see its own kind, friends or family, getting to go back while it remains in the tank... Is it really sad?
